The distinctive 1993 G! logo was designed by Kate Charlesworth. Famous for her "gay cartoon strips" since the 1970's she has worked for Spitting Image, regularly appears in the Guardian and has contributed to New Scientist. www.katecharlesworth.com

In 2002 Niall Walker updated the logo using Gill Sans, a 1920/30's font that had become fashionable once again. www.thearches.co.uk

in 2004 Steven Thomson re-designed the logo using a Neville Brody font. The approach was bolder, more architectural and closer to the notion of a "Glasgow" style.

Since then new logos have been created for Glasgay's new base the Q! Gallery (2005) and it's new Studio premises (2006) both in the Merchant City's historic Saltmarket. Both logos make use of the distinctive exclamation mark!
